Full job description

Overview

Assisting an older gentelman with his business and personal affairs, with a particular emphasis on supporting his computer usage and organisation. The working schedule and hours can be flexible to suit the applicant, but reliability and punctuality are important. The position is an in person role based at a private home along Niton Undercliff, Isle of Wight.

Responsibilities

Manage and organize daily administrative tasks, including
Handle correspondence via email, phone calls, and written communication with professionalism and courtesy.
Research information in both print and electronic formats to help make business decisions.
Maintain accurate records through filing systems, and document management using tools like Microsoft Office and Google Workspace along with written records.
Process invoices, track expenses, and utilize QuickBooks for financial record queries.
Support admin and operations by managing supplies inventory, ordering materials, and ensuring the workspace remains organized.
Perform clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, mailing, typing up letters and maintaining office equipment.

Skills

Proven experience in administrative roles with strong organizational abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar).
Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software for financial tasks.
Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong phone etiquette and professional communication skills.
Ability to type quickly and efficiently to support busy office workflows.
Previous office or clerical experience that demonstrates reliability and multitasking capabilities.
