Full job description

Material Handler

Hours: 2pm to 10:30pm Monday to Friday

Must be available to train on day shifts (8 hours between 10am to 10:30pm) to up for 3 months before starting nights

Pay: £13.00 per hour, plus a 12.5% shift allowance for late shifts. rising to £14 per hour upon successful completion of training

Job Description

Role Summary

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Material Handler to support the smooth running of production by acting as a key link between the warehouse and production teams. The role involves ensuring production has the consumable items it needs, moving pallets safely, supporting warehouse colleagues, and helping maintain clean and organised production areas.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the link between the warehouse and production teams.
Ensure consumable items are available for production when required.
Move pallets in and out of airlocks safely and efficiently.
Wrap pallets under the direction of warehouse staff.
Clear rubbish and recycling from production areas to the appropriate bins or balers.
Support colleagues across production and warehouse areas as needed.
Follow site procedures and maintain a safe, tidy working environment.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, production, or similar environment.
Experience using a pallet truck.
Ability to lift up to 25kg safely.
Good awareness of health, safety, and manual handling requirements.
Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a busy operational environment.
