What You’ll Do
As a Civil Operative at Eco-Power Solutions, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe and efficient works across a variety of live infrastructure sites. You will be responsible for:
- Carrying out groundworks, including site clearance, ducting, trenching, and backfilling
- Supporting the installation of concrete bases, foundations, and other structural elements
- Supporting the installation of fencing systems, posts, gates, and associated infrastructure to required specifications
- Operating plant and machinery such as excavators, dumpers and rollers (where ticketed)
- Working as part of a team to complete civils scopes around utility assets including gas, electric, water and rail infrastructure
- Supporting reinstatement activities, including tarmac, concrete and modular surfacing
- Undertaking slinger/signaller or banksman duties if accredited, to support lifting and vehicle movement
- Reading and following work packs, method statements and construction drawings
- Maintaining high safety standards and reporting any site issues promptly
- Ensuring work is completed to client specifications and in line with programme requirements
This is hands-on, physical work that requires a good attitude, reliability and a willingness to work outdoors in all conditions.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for people who take pride in their work, want to be part of a growing business and are passionate about building a long-term career with us. You should have:
- Experience in civil engineering, groundworks or utility sectors
- A valid CSCS card
- Machine tickets such as CPCS or NPORS (preferred but not essential)
- Additional qualifications such as slinger, signaller, banksman, or streetworks (an advantage)
- A positive attitude, good teamwork and a strong focus on safety
We are open to engaging candidates on either a self-employed basis or as a directly employed member of our team.
An attractive salary package will be offered in line with experience.
