We are opening a new CNC machining facility and are recruiting a CNC Programming &
Machining Lead to run day to day machining operations and establish shop floor standards.
This is a hands on role combining CNC programming, setup and machining with responsibility for quality, processes and future team development.
Main Duties
Program CNC jobs from engineering drawings and STEP files
Use CAM software (e.g. Hypermill, MasterCAM) to create and optimise toolpaths
Set, prove and run CNC milling and turning machines
Select tooling, feeds, speeds and workholding
Support first articles and move jobs into repeat production
Inspect work and ensure parts meet customer specifications
Prevent nonconforming parts leaving the factory
Support machine installation and factory startup
Train and support machinists as the team grows
Work to AS9100 / EN9100 quality standards
Requirements
Minimum 4 years’ CNC machining experience
Strong CAM programming background
Ability to take a job from drawing to finished part independently
Confident reading engineering drawings and GD&T
Handson experience with CNC setup and operation
Multiaxis machining experience preferred
