Job Introduction

Finance Assistant – Hamilton, Glasgow

As a Finance Assistant, you will report to the Head of Billing and Non-Contestable Cost Management and play an important role in managing the billing elements of each project effectively.

Your responsibilities as a Finance Assistant:

Prepare, validate and submit customer invoices, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
Monitor and update project invoice control sheets, keeping billing records accurate and well maintained.
Work with project teams to resolve invoice queries and billing discrepancies promptly and professionally.
Support accurate, compliant financial processes in line with company policies and industry standards.
Assist the Head of Billing and Non-Contestable Cost Management with ad hoc financial tasks and improvements to billing processes.

Experience / Knowledge:

Experience of working in a Finance role
IT Literate with use of Microsoft Excel
Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial controls
