Location: Southampton (Southampton University – Open Day Events)

Salary: Up to £12.71 per hour

Contract Type: Casual/Flexible (Zero Hours Contract)

Event Support Team is a premier provider of event services, specialising in off-site parking and traffic management for major events, including sports matches, concerts, and festivals. With state-of-the-art Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology, we simplify parking operations, reduce traffic congestion, and elevate the overall event experience. Our impressive portfolio features collaborations with iconic events such as the Rugby World Cup, Champions League Final, London 2012 Olympics, and numerous renowned music festivals.

The Role:

We are seeking friendly and proactive Parking Attendants to support Southampton University's Open Day events. In this crucial role, you'll ensure the safe and efficient operation of parking facilities, providing excellent service to visiting students, parents, and staff. This position offers flexible hours tailored to the university's Open Day schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist visitors with directions and address parking-related questions
Direct vehicles to ensure safe and smooth traffic flow within the parking area
Monitor and enforce parking regulations and company policies
Use an iPad to verify vehicle registrations upon entry
Set up and manage on-site signage to guide drivers effectively

Requirements:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Positive and solution-oriented attitude
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
Comfortable representing the company at a university open day, engaging with prospective students and their families
