Job title: IT Manager

Based: Stockport, SK1 1HF

Permanent: Full-time

Salary band: D

Salary: £52,000 - £65,000 per annum (depending upon skills and experience) plus full employee benefits

It’s an exciting time to be part of Vernon Building Society. With over 100 years of heritage and significant recent investment, we’re focused on growth, modernisation, and creating an exceptional colleague experience.

We are looking for an IT Manager to join our team at Head Office.

The successful applicant will be required to work on site in Stockport for at least 3 days per week and be able to attend 5 days should the business need require.

The Role:

This is a hands - on technical role, managing our computer systems, server infrastructure and communication networks; ensuring that they are appropriate to the business needs of the Society and operating to the peak of their efficiency and effectiveness.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will:

· Have a level of understanding and competence appropriate to managing the running of all systems and networks. This includes hybrid and cloud-based systems, network management, Active Directory, switching, firewalls, and VOIP

· Be an engaging team player with a high level of analytical ability

· Be an organised and methodical problem solver

· Be able to work to deadlines

· Be educated to degree or industry standard in a relevant field

Package:

£52,000 - £65,000 per annum (depending upon skills and experience)

Pension scheme (7.5% employer contributions rising to 10% after 2 years)

Salary exchange for pensions arrangement

4 x salary death in service benefit

25 days holiday (plus statutory bank holidays), increasing to 27 after 2 years
