About Us
Metering Technology Solutions (MTS), trading as Meter, is one of the UK's leading IoT metering and monitoring providers. Every day we gather millions of data points that help cities, companies and individuals cut their energy and water consumption, reduce bills and run better services.
We enable our customers to get behind the meter and view high-quality data on the Meter Portal, so they can understand exactly how and where they are consuming. With over 30 years of experience, we are pioneers in smart metering, with deep expertise at every stage of the value chain: capturing, transmitting, processing, monitoring and analysing the data.
We work with our clients as long-term partners, delivering an outstanding ongoing service that maximises their efficiency savings.
The Role
As an AMR/AMI (Smart Metering) Installer/Engineer, you will be a key part of our project delivery team. This is a field-based role installing smart and automatic meter reading devices on exciting projects with the UK's largest water companies.
You will also have the opportunity to train and gain qualifications across wider IoT smart metering installations, including gas, electric, heat and air quality, and much more.
Alongside installation, you will carry out ongoing maintenance and help customers meet the challenges of managing their consumption. You will complete appointments through our in-house planning system using a company-provided tablet and laptop, and we supply everything you need to do the job - from uniform and PPE to a fully expensed company van.
Where You'll Be Working
This is a northern England role with a flexible home base around Greater Manchester. Your day-to-day patch will cover the North West and Yorkshire, so most appointments will be within comfortable reach of home. From time to time you may travel further afield to support wider projects, and where an overnight stay is needed, the company covers accommodation and pays a meal allowance.
