Job Purpose:

We’re looking for people to deliver exceptional swimming lessons for Total Fitness members and non-members, to ensure the correct swimming safety procedures are always followed and to provide excellent customer service, making a difference to people's lives through teaching them to swim.

We recognise that members require post lesson feedback which we allow for in our scheduling, each lesson is 30 minutes + 10 minutes feedback, your time fully paid for.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver lessons in accordance with association guidelines
Create a fun and positive pool experience
Guarantee the highest levels of safety at every session
Support the Poolside Experience Manager with any queries regarding member progress
Maintain accurate records of all members
Communicate effectively with parents/guardian of babies/toddlers participating in lessons

Ideal Skills for the Role:

A role model who lives and breathes our Total Fitness Values
You’ll bring the best you can each day to create opportunities for yourself and for others
You will have an STA Aquatic Teaching Baby and Pre-School Swimming or Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers qualification
A successful record of teaching children to swim
Perseverance and patience
A natural coach who takes pride in planning and delivering pool lessons
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with parents
A genuine passion and active involvement in poolside activities

Please note that this role is subject to a DBS check. If you do not currently hold a valid DBS certificate and your application is successful, Total Fitness will cover the cost.
