Fast-paced summer holidays role — ideal if you’ve worked in a busy café, restaurant or dessert shop
Job description:
We’re looking for quick, reliable team members to join our team at Inflato for our busy summer holidays — Stoke-on-Trent’s original giant inflatable park.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role working across our desserts parlour, café and inflatable arena. You’ll play a key part in keeping things running smoothly during one of our busiest periods of the year, helping create an amazing experience for families visiting during the school holidays.
You’ll also help support our children’s birthday parties, making sure families have a smooth, enjoyable experience from start to finish.
This role is best suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, can stay calm under pressure, and is quick on their feet.
This is a seasonal summer holidays role, however there may be opportunities for strong performers to continue as permanent team members after the holidays.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting busy service in our desserts parlour and café
- Preparing and serving food, drinks and desserts
- Working efficiently during peak times
- Helping deliver children’s birthday parties and ensuring a great experience for families
- Supervising children on the inflatable arena when required
- Making sure safety rules are followed
- Speaking confidently to children and parents
- Supporting character mascot appearances (when required)
- Helping keep all areas clean, organised and running smoothly
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a busy café, restaurant, or dessert environment is strongly preferred
- Quick on your feet and able to handle busy periods
- Energetic, friendly and confident
- Comfortable speaking to both children and adults
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable wearing a mascot costume and interacting with families
- Able to commit to working throughout the summer holidays
What we’re offering:
- Summer holiday shifts (minimum 16 hours per week expected during peak summer period)
- Zero-hour contract with hours varying depending on business needs
- Training and induction shifts before the summer holidays begin
- Starting at minimum wage, with performance-based pay increases for strong team members

Availability:
- School holiday availability is essential
- Weekend availability is essential

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
