The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Transport Co-ordinator to join our team at our Middlewich Depot. The role is covered over 2 alternating shifts, 6am - 3pm & 11am - 8pm. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a well-established and growing logistics company.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan efficient routes for delivery and collection vehicles
- Book deliveries and arrange collections for both ASAP and partner depots
- Assist with vehicle loading and unloading when required
- Liaise with drivers to resolve any issues quickly and professionally
- Carry out day-to-day transport administration tasks
- Coordinate closely with internal departments and external partners
About You
Experienced Transport Coordinator with a strong background in logistics, route planning, driver coordination and warehouse operations. Proactive and highly organised, with the ability to manage changing priorities, resolve transport issues efficiently and maintain excellent service levels in fast-paced environments. Strong knowledge of UK geography, transport administration and operational planning, supported by excellent communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach. Recognised for being flexible, dependable and a confident problem solver who works effectively with drivers, customers and internal teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Essential:
- Previous experience in transport and driver coordination
- Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
- Competent computer skills and administrative ability
- Forklift licence
- Experience in a warehouse/transport environment
