Job Title: IT and Maths Instructor
Location: Ashley Park School, Epsom, Surrey KT18 7LR
Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8am - 4pm
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

About the Role
We’re seeking a creative, enthusiastic IT and Math's Instructor to inspire pupils aged 5–19. You’ll focus on IT/Computing and possibly teach in additional curriculum areas such as Maths and Independent living skills
This is a chance to bring IT to life, using project-based and practical approaches to engage pupils with Autism/SEMH/SEND needs. Over time, you may also help develop BTEC or other accreditation pathways, reflecting pupils’ interests and career ambitions. This may include coding/eSports/iMedia
You’ll work closely with our Quality of Education team to create accessible, engaging lessons, maintain a calm, purposeful classroom, and follow trauma-informed, relational approaches to support all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- To contribute to raising standards of pupil progress and attainment in ICT.
- To monitor and support the teaching and learning throughout ICT.
- Under the direction of the Deputy Headteacher, ensure ICT is implemented, monitored and reviewed in order to analyse its effectiveness.
- To have a solid understanding of the school pathways and ensuring suitable learning is taking place in all environments.
- To have an understanding of appropriate vocational qualifications and ensure pupils are working towards these in key stage 4 and key stage 5.
- Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities.
- Liaise with the Deputy Head Teacher and the Senior Leadership team to communicate subject effectiveness and how this impacts the school.
- To understand and support the development of appropriate sequences of learning that relate to the needs of learners in each pathway.
- To model professional standards at all times in line with Professional Standards for Teachers.
About You
- Experienced in Computing, IT, and other related subjects.
- Confident using digital tools and flexible in developing new skills.
- Skilled in planning and adapting lessons for a range of abilities.
- Passionate about supporting pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
- Collaborative, creative, and committed to inclusive education.
- Keen to get involved in enrichment activities, digital projects.
For the right candidate we will be in a position to consider those without QTS and they would be recruited as an Instructor rather than a Teacher.
