We are a growing fencing and construction business looking to strengthen our financial management and reporting capabilities. As the business continues to expand, we are seeking a motivated and commercially aware Junior Management Accountant to support the Directors and help provide greater visibility of the Company's financial performance.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Directors and working alongside our external accountants, you will play a key role in managing financial information, producing reports, supporting budgeting activities, and helping management make informed business decisions.
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records are maintained while assisting with the development of financial systems, reporting processes, and commercial analysis across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day financial management of the business.
- Process and monitor invoices, payments, and financial records.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial information.
- Produce regular financial reports, including profit and loss reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
- Monitor project and business profitability.
- Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with pricing analysis, tender preparation, and commercial reporting.
- Support management with financial planning and decision-making.
- Liaise with external accountants and advisors as required.
- Help develop and improve financial systems, controls, and reporting processes.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or a similar role.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly and confidently.
- A proactive and problem-solving approach.
- Desire to learn, develop, and grow within the business.
Desirable
- AAT qualified or studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Experience producing management reports.
- Experience within construction, manufacturing, or project-based industries.
- Understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes.
