CNC Turner / CNC Miller – Setter, Operator & Programmer

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner or CNC Miller to join our established workshop in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who can set, operate and programme CNC machinery, producing high-quality precision components.
The successful candidate will have experience with either Fanuc or Heidenhain controls and be confident working independently from engineering drawings through to finished components.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, operate and programme CNC turning or milling machines.
- Produce precision components to drawing specifications and quality standards.
- Edit and optimise CNC programmes where required.
- Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures and cutting parameters.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules while maintaining quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner or CNC Miller.
- Experience with Fanuc or Heidenhain control systems.
- Ability to set, operate and programme CNC machines.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
