Job Summary
A very exciting opportunity has opened up within our extinguisher team for a Fire Extinguisher Engineer.

Areas covered include Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire and Leicestershire. We are open to applicants from anywhere within our catchment area. The Head Office and Warehouse is based in Wellingborough.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installation and servicing of fire extinguishers aligned with British Standards. We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about customer service, organised, detailed orientated, self-motivated and has pride in delivering high quality work.

As a 2nd generation family business, we are looking for someone with the right behaviours and values who we can work with for the long term.

This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, as well as proficiency with technical schematics and hand tools. The Fire Extinguisher Engineer will play a vital part in ensuring safety standards are met and systems operate effectively. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction, system design, or related fields to develop their careers within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Complete all servicing aligned with BS 5306-3 and BAFE SP101
Fire extinguisher installation including wall hanging, cabinets and stands for all types of fixings
Complete recommendations and advisories aligned with BS 5306-8
Document all work accurately, including maintenance updates, timesheets, diesel logs.
Manage stock and tools, ensuring equipment is to standard, secure and replenished as needed.
Complete Warehouse Days making up key stock for scheduled work
Test Discharge and Refilling of extinguishers
Work safely in accordance with company and client health and safety procedures.
Get to customers sites for 8am unless otherwise specified on work schedule.
Great customer service focusing on customer needs first – always go the extra mile.
Any other reasonable management request

Experience

Pass the Theory & Practice of Servicing Fire Extinguisher (preferable but can obtain as part of probation process)
BAFE Diploma Registrations (preferable but can obtain as part of probation process)
IOSH Managing Safely (preferable but can obtain as part of probation process)
Full UK Driving License
Enhanced DBS Check
Strong Customer Service
