Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Manager/Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of accounts. Duties
- Maintain and update financial records using SAGE software
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Assist with SAGE payroll processing and employee expense claims
- Support year-end accounting procedures and liaise with external auditors as required
- Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting activities
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies
- Process monthly CIS returns
- Preparation of sales invoices and estimates
- Quarterly VAT returns
Skills
- Proven experience with SAGE accounting and payroll software
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reconciliation
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and standards
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
This position is ideal for candidates with a solid background in bookkeeping and account management, seeking a role that offers professional growth within a supportive environment. This is a part-time role, preferably 2 days/week including a Wednesday or Friday but could increase as business dictates.
