Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Cheerleading Coach to support our cheerleading programme. Duties
- Assist the head coach in planning and delivering training sessions for cheerleading squads
- Support athletes in learning routines, stunts, and tumbling techniques
- Help organise practice schedules and coordinate team activities
- Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to optimise athlete performance
- Ensure all training adheres to safety standards and best practices
- Promote team spirit, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude among participants
- Attend team events, competitions, and meetings as required
- Maintain organised records of attendance, progress, and achievements
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sports coaching or cheerleading is desirable
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to motivate young athletes
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Passionate about youth development through sport
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures related to cheerleading activities
- Relevant coaching certifications or willingness to undertake training is advantageous

This position would suit a sixth form or college student who has dance, cheer, or gymnastics experience.
Pay will be determined based on age, qualifications and experience.
Pay: £12.76-£15.00 per hour
