As an Assembly Production Team Member, you will play an important role in manufacturing high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations. Working as part of a skilled production team, you will assemble mechanical and electrical components, carry out testing, maintain accurate production records and contribute to continuous improvement.
Full training will be provided where required.

Key Responsibilities
· Assemble mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical products in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions and assembly procedures.
· Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
· Install and connect electrical components safely and accurately.
· Carry out functional testing and quality checks to ensure products meet specification.
· Identify, report and help resolve assembly, quality or production issues.
· Complete digital production records accurately and in a timely manner.
· Report supplier or internal non-conformances in accordance with company procedures.
· Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the production area.
· Handle materials, tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
· Minimise waste by using materials efficiently and following environmental procedures.
· Comply with all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.
· Support colleagues and undertake other reasonable duties as required.
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Experience in electrical assembly and wiring.
- Good mechanical aptitude and practical hands-on skills.
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions or assembly documentation.
- Experience using hand tools and workshop equipment safely.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, punctual and self-motivated.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Desirable
- Understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001).
- Experience in using digital production records or manufacturing software.
- Forklift licence (or willingness to undertake training).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
