Full job description

Location: Predominantly based in Strensall with travel across group sites

Job Purpose

To carry out grounds maintenance and general maintenance duties across group sites, ensuring all outdoor spaces, buildings, and facilities are maintained to a safe and high standard, with the majority of work based in Strensall.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain grounds including grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning, weed control, and seasonal tasks.
Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs across buildings and facilities.
Conduct routine site inspections and report maintenance issues.
Support site cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards.
Travel between group sites to provide maintenance support as required.
Operate tools, machinery, and equipment safely and in line with health and safety procedures.

Essential Requirements

Practical maintenance and DIY skills.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Desirable Requirements

Experience using grounds maintenance machinery.
Basic maintenance or horticultural qualifications.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Personal Attributes

Reliable and flexible approach to work.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Positive attitude with a proactive approach to tasks.

Please note: While predominantly based in Strensall, flexibility to work across all group locations is essential.

Pay: £12.41-£14.00 per hour
