Woodbank Garden Centre, Harden, Bingley
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Woodbank Garden Centre as a full-time Garden Centre Assistant.
We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, and reliable individual with a passion for plants, gardening, and customer service to help support the day-to-day operations of our busy garden centre.
Main Duties Include:
- Watering and caring for plants
- Repotting and pricking out
- Plant maintenance and display preparation
- Use of Basic Power Tools
- Stocking plants, gardening products and related merchandise
- Creating attractive retail displays (During the Christmas Period)
- Assisting customers with advice and purchases
- General housekeeping and maintenance duties across the garden centre
- Heavy lifting and working outdoors in all weather conditions when required
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a garden centre, nursery, horticultural or retail environment would be advantageous
- An interest in horticulture is essential
- Horticultural qualifications are beneficial but not essential
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Reliable, flexible and willing to work weekends
- Due to the location, your own reliable transport is needed
Hours:
40 hours per week across 5 days
(4 weekdays and 1 weekend day)
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts - Monday to Friday 8.30 am - 5.30 pm, Sat 9 am 5 pm, Sun 9.30 am - 4.30 pm
