Full job description

Job Summary

This is a contract, on-site role for an industrial painter located in Ripon/Harrogate, Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and painting of marquee structures, trailers, metalwork and related components to a high standard. The role requires a strong attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and the ability to produce a high-quality, durable finish on all equipment.

The position involves working as part of a busy workshop and events team to ensure equipment is finished, maintained, and ready for use.

Self-employed applicants are preferred.

Duties:

Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding and priming before painting
Apply paint and protective coatings to trailers, marquee components and metal equipment
Ensure a high-quality, durable finish with excellent attention to detail
Carry out touch-ups, repairs and re-coating where required
Maintain painting tools and equipment in good condition
Keep the work area clean, tidy and organised
Follow all health and safety procedures
Work efficiently to meet deadlines and project schedules
Assist with general workshop duties when required

Requirements:

Previous experience in industrial, commercial, vehicle or metal painting preferred
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently or as part of a team
Good time management skills
Basic understanding of health and safety procedures
Willingness to learn and develop skills
Immediate start preferred
