Vacancy Hours: 15 hours per week, Term Time Only

Location: Sherburn In Elmet, North Yorkshire

HLTA

Salary: £27,254 to £29,064 per annum pro rata

Grade: F SCP 8-13

Contract Type: Established

Athelstan School is looking to appoint an outstanding and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our hard-working, dedicated team. The post is 22.5 hours per week, working across the school, providing classroom support. The post will involve working as a GTA during the morning then 3 afternoons working as a HLTA providing PPA cover to KS2 classes.

We would like someone who is flexible, self-motivated, resilient and positively promotes inclusion, has high expectations for all and will be keen to set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils including those with additional needs. The successful candidate must have experience of working with children in a primary setting.

We are looking for someone who is:

With a desire to help children reach their potential
Excellent communication skills
Calm understanding manner
Can plan and deliver lessons under the direction of the class teacher
Creative and adaptable with learning opportunities

Is committed to supporting high standards of teaching and learning throughout school
Is keen to work as part of a close team, as well as have the ability to develop warm relationships with children, colleagues and parents.
