About the Role:

Manchester has become one of the UK's most exciting digital and media hubs, and at Madridista Sports Media UK Ltd, we're building digital experiences that engage audiences at scale. We believe successful digital media is powered by a combination of compelling content, data-driven decision-making, and innovative audience engagement strategies.

We are looking for a Director of Digital Media who can take ownership of our digital growth strategy and lead the next phase of our expansion. This is not a role focused solely on campaign management. You will define our digital vision, oversee content and marketing initiatives, guide audience development efforts, and build a high-performing team capable of delivering measurable business results.

You will work closely with executive leadership to identify growth opportunities, strengthen brand visibility, and create meaningful connections with online audiences across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Strategy Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive digital media strategy aligned with company growth objectives and audience engagement goals.

Audience Growth:
Identify opportunities to expand reach, increase engagement, and drive sustainable audience acquisition across digital platforms.

Content Leadership:
Oversee content planning, editorial strategy, publishing operations, and multi-channel distribution efforts.

Performance Marketing:
Guide paid media, SEO, organic growth, email marketing, and digital advertising initiatives to maximize performance.

Analytics & Insights:
Establish KPIs, monitor campaign performance, analyze audience behavior, and turn insights into actionable growth strategies.

Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop digital marketing, content, and social media professionals while fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with leadership, creative teams, developers, and external stakeholders to deliver integrated digital initiatives.

Brand Development:
Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all digital channels and customer touchpoints.

Innovation & Market Awareness:
Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, audience behaviors, and competitive activity to identify new opportunities.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience:
7+ years of experience in Digital Media, Digital Marketing, Content Strategy, Audience Development, or a related field, including leadership experience managing teams and projects.

Leadership Skills:
Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams, manage priorities, and execute strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Digital Expertise:
Strong knowledge of SEO, content marketing, social media strategy, audience growth, analytics, performance marketing, and digital advertising.

Analytical Thinking:
Comfortable using data, reporting tools, and performance metrics to evaluate results and drive business decisions.

Communication:
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technology:
Experience working with digital analytics platforms, content management systems, marketing technology tools, and audience measurement solutions.

Mindset:
You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You are comfortable setting long-term direction while remaining focused on delivering measurable results.

Pay: £77,384.63-£97,729.56 per year
