Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your electrical expertise within a dynamic environment, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The position requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Installing, testing, and commissioning electrical systems in new and existing buildings
Diagnosing electrical faults and performing repairs efficiently
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Using hand tools and power tools to carry out installation and maintenance tasks
Ensuring all work complies with current electrical codes and safety regulations
Conducting routine inspections to identify potential electrical issues before they escalate
Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used
Collaborating with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects

Experience

Proven experience as an Electrician within a commercial or industrial setting
Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, etc.
Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and testing equipment
Strong electrical experience with knowledge of wiring methods, circuit design, and safety standards
Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Electrical Installation JIB Gold Card, equivalent are highly desirable
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to strict safety protocols
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
