Industrial Cleaner/Labourer
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit 2 x Industrial Cleaner/Labourers to join our team based at our Hartlepool site based on the Tata Steel site. The Role
Working as part of and alongside a dedicated site-based industrial cleaning team, working a day shift, you will support the safe and efficient delivery of cleaning and waste management services within a heavy industrial environment on a steel site.
This roll is a physically demanding, hands-on role requiring reliability, teamwork, and strict adherence to health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out various labouring and cleaning duties in line with site procedures and safety requirements
· Use manual handling tools (brushes, shovels, wheelbarrows, etc.)
· Use of jet washing equipment.
· Potential FLT and other small plant operation.
· Assist with waste removal and provide general housekeeping duties.
· Maintain high standards of safety, quality and customer service
Safety, reliability and customer service are central to this role.
Key attributes:
We are looking for someone who:
· Has previous experience in working within a Steel plant as an industrial cleaning or a similar heavy industrial environment.
· Is physically fit and comfortable working within a physical demanding working role.
· Demonstrates a strong safety-first mindset
· Is reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
· Has a positive, proactive attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
· Fork lift licence
· Skid steer licence
· Full UK driving Licence (max 6 points)
What We Offer :
· £13.00 per hour (paid weekly in arrears) plus shift premium
· 40-hour basic working week
· Monday–Friday: 08:00 – 16:30 (inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid break).
· Weekend work available
· Overtime paid after 40 hours:
o Time & a half after 40 hours
o Double time on Sundays
· Company pension scheme (auto enrolment)
· Full PPE and uniform provided
· Local role – home at the end of your shift
