Dental Practice Manager / Assistant Manager/ Supervisor

Salary: £29,741–£36,270 per year, depending on experience and GDC registration

Performance-related bonus of up to £4,000 per year

About Us

The Hub Dental Practice is one of the busiest and most popular private dental practices in the country.

We are part of a long-established family dental group that has been based in Milton Keynes for over 40 years and now operates successful practices across multiple locations.

Our Milton Keynes operation provides high-quality private dental care 7 days a week, 365 days a year, across two modern locations situated just around the corner from one another.

Our main practice at 780 South Fifth Street has 8 treatment rooms and provides a comprehensive range of emergency, general, restorative, implant, surgical and cosmetic dental treatments.

Smile Studio, our dedicated cosmetic dental clinic located around the corner, has a further 3 treatment rooms and provides a premium environment focused on cosmetic, restorative and aesthetic dentistry.

Together, our two Milton Keynes locations have 11 treatment rooms and care for a very high number of patients, making this one of the busiest private dental operations in the country.

Our practices are fully digital and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including:

Orthophos XG3D CBCT
Full CEREC CAD/CAM and milling systems
iTero digital scanners
Zeiss dental microscopes
Biolase dental laser systems
Dedicated facilities for implant, surgical, root canal and advanced cosmetic procedures

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our existing management team to cover maternity leave for 12 months.

Previous dental experience is mandatory.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to somebody who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving and is capable of motivating, supporting and leading a large team.

Due to the size and activity of our Milton Keynes practices, this role offers genuine responsibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference within one of the busiest private dental environments in the country.

The successful candidate will work 45 hours per week and must be available to work one of the following weekend patterns:

Every Saturday

Every Sunday

Alternate full weekends, working both Saturday and Sunday

The remaining working days will be agreed as part of a fixed 2 week rota.

What We Are Looking For

Previous dental experience is essential
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent spoken and written English
Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in a busy environment
Professional appearance and manner
Ability to lead, motivate and support a large multidisciplinary team
Confidence addressing performance, conduct and operational issues
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems
Ability to provide at least one satisfactory professional reference

GDC registration is desirable for some positions but is not required for all management and supervisory roles.

Responsibilities Include

Overseeing the day-to-day running of both Milton Keynes practices
Leading, motivating and supporting the clinical and administrative teams
Managing staff rotas using digital systems and apps
Diary, workflow and patient journey management
Monitoring practice performance and operational standards
Supporting the continued development and operation of Smile Studio
Monitoring stock levels and expenditure
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs
Managing complaints and supporting patients professionally
Staff recruitment, onboarding, training and development
HR duties, including inductions, appraisals, performance management and disciplinary procedures
Setting and maintaining high standards of conduct, behaviour and professionalism
Ensuring regulatory, legal and practice-policy compliance
Supporting the practices in achieving their clinical, operational and commercial objectives

Established systems, compliance software and support from experienced senior managers will be provided.

Salary and Benefits

Practice Managers

GDC registrant with a minimum of 2 years’ dental management experience.

From £15.50 per hour.

Equivalent to approximately £36,270 per year, based on 45 hours per week.

Junior Managers

GDC registrant with previous dental experience.

From £14.50 per hour.

Equivalent to approximately £33,930 per year, based on 45 hours per week.

Supervisors

Non-GDC registrant with previous dental experience.

From £12.71 per hour.

Equivalent to approximately £29,741 per year, based on 45 hours per week.
