Known and respected within our specialist field, we have built our reputation on technical expertise, customer service and long-term relationships with our customers. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Service Coordinator to become a key part of our operations team.
This is an important role at the heart of the business. You will be the central point of contact for all service activity, coordinating engineers, supporting customers and ensuring jobs are delivered efficiently from enquiry through to completion.
We are looking for someone who enjoys organisation, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly and can confidently manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.
The Role
Supporting a team of field-based Service Engineers operating nationwide, you will coordinate service work, manage schedules and ensure customers receive a professional and responsive service.
You will be the person who knows what is happening across the Service Department at any given time, maintaining oversight of ongoing work while ensuring important details are never missed.
This is a varied position within a specialist business where you will be trusted to take ownership and become a valued member of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and scheduling service visits for field-based Service Engineers
- Managing engineer diaries, travel arrangements, tools and equipment requirements
- Updating and maintaining the service calendar and workload schedule
- Acting as the primary point of contact for all service-related enquiries
- Responding professionally to customer telephone and email enquiries
- Processing service orders and maintaining accurate records
- Providing administrative and logistical support to Service Engineers
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth service delivery
- Monitoring outstanding work and helping maximise engineer utilisation
- Ensuring service reports, calibration certificates and invoices are issued promptly
- Assisting with spare parts administration and stock management
- Identifying and implementing improvements to service processes and procedures
About You
You will be highly organised, proactive and able to remain calm when priorities change.

The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple ongoing tasks, maintaining an overview of service activities and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and changing demands
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage professionally with customers, engineers and colleagues
- Ability to ask questions, seek clarification and raise concerns promptly when required
- Comfortable working independently whilst keeping relevant people informed of progress, issues and priorities
- Comfortable working with multiple computer systems simultaneously, including scheduling, administration and customer service platforms
- Ability to quickly learn new software and processes
- Capable of maintaining accurate records and information across different systems
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience coordinating field service engineers
- An understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17036:2017 would be advantageous but not essential
- Previous experience in a Service Coordinator, Service Scheduler, Service Administrator, Operations Coordinator, Planning or similar role

What We Offer
- Salary of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Friday working hours, 9:00am - 5:00pm
- No weekends or shift work
- 20 days annual leave, increasing by 1 day per year of service up to 25 days
- Additional Christmas office closure period which is not deducted from your annual leave entitlement
