You will ideally have previous experience in a Fleet Controller position or be a recent graduate looking to develop your career in fleet operations as part of a focused and results-oriented team.
Purpose
To ensure that scheduled fleet maintenance and defect repairs are managed in the most cost effective and efficient manner. Achieved by detailed scrutiny of the Fleet Management System, purchase orders and related service documentation. To support the smooth and efficient running of the vehicles within the Fleet to achieve company standards and targets.

Responsibilities
-
Coordinate and manage external workshop activities for planned and unplanned maintenance, including MOTs, tachograph calibrations, and associated services for fleet trucks and trailers, ensuring compliance with OEM/Operator licence obligations

Provide regular VOR updates to the operational teams to support effective resource planning

Build effective working relationships with external maintenance providers to schedule work and communicate vehicle downtime accurately to operational teams

Challenge maintenance & damage costs effectively

Ensure the provision of approved and competent maintenance contractors for all fleet requirements

Ensure all compliance documentation is checked and uploaded in a timely manner

Monitor outstanding defects and ensure all safety related defects are actioned

Provide guidance to drivers and operational teams on maintenance solutions aimed at minimising VOR

Provide technical support/point of escalation for colleagues and customers

To raise and authorise purchase orders to agreed financial levels

To ensure the fleet is serviced and maintained in accordance with company policy and Operator licence obligations

To ensure completed documentation regarding vehicle & trailer repairs and rectification are completed to company standards.
