Full job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a confident, outgoing, and highly organised Social Media and Lettings Assistant to support both our marketing and lettings operations within the student accommodation sector.

This is a front-facing role. The successful candidate will regularly appear in social media content, represent the brand on camera, assist with property viewings, and engage directly with prospective and current students.

The role plays a key part in driving enquiries, supporting occupancy levels, and strengthening our brand presence both online and in person.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Creation

Plan, create, and publish engaging content across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
Regularly feature on camera in reels, property tours, stories, and promotional videos
Act as a brand ambassador, presenting properties and showcasing student lifestyle content
Stay up to date with social media trends relevant to the student market
Respond to social media enquiries and direct messages in a timely and professional manner
Monitor engagement and performance metrics to support growth and lead generation
Report weekly to managers

Lettings & Viewings Support

Assist with conducting property viewings for prospective student tenants
Confidently present properties and answer basic questions regarding rooms, tenancy terms, and facilities
Follow up with viewing enquiries and support the lettings process
Support the team during peak letting periods
Ensure properties are viewing-ready and presented to a high standard

Events & Student Engagement

Support the planning and delivery of student-focused events (e.g. open days, welcome events, promotional pop-ups)
Attend events to represent the brand and engage with students
Capture photo and video content at events and properties

Skills & Experience

Confident and comfortable appearing on camera
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional, approachable, and confident when conducting viewings
Good understanding of social media platforms and current trends
Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Flexible to work occasional evenings or weekends during peak periods

Employed or Self-Employed

This role may be offered on either an employed or self-employed basis. Self-employed candidates must manage their own tax and insurance arrangements.

Desirable

Experience within student accommodation, lettings, hospitality, or customer-facing roles
Basic video editing or graphic design skills (e.g. Canva, CapCut)
Experience hosting or assisting at events
