This Outstanding nursery school in Lewes needs an experienced early years professional to join the team as Deputy Manager.
You will work with the floor-based Manager and your salary will start at £16.00ph with the potential for an uplift after 3 months.
Your job will be to support the Manager, who is in the classroom every day. You will Lead in an area, work closely with the parents, be central to the planning, help guide the team and deputise for the Manager when she's on annual leave.
The nursery is independent, mid-sized (no more than 45 children a day) and focused on teaching. We don't believe in box ticking and everyone is recognised for the contribution they make to the setting.
Children of different ages happily mix together in the bright and homely classroom and there is free-flow outdoor learning, which helps us create a calm, relaxed atmosphere across the nursery.
We use the nature field next door for Forest School and the children take regular walks to local places of interest such as the duck pond, Lewes castle and the town’s beautiful parks and gardens.
This is a permanent, full time role. Travel is usually easy as you’ll have use of an on-site car park and there are great public transport links from Eastbourne, Brighton, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill.
