Full job description

Job Summary

Eco-Trailer Limited designs and manufactures premium enclosed car transport trailers from our manufacturing facility in Middlesbrough.

We're looking for an experienced CNC Laser & Press Brake Operator to join our production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys producing high-quality precision components while working with modern machinery in an organised workshop.

The successful applicant will take ownership of laser cutting, bending and producing components to a consistently high standard.

Responsibilities

Set and operate CNC fibre laser cutting machine
Set and operate CNC press brake machine
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Select correct tooling and bending sequences
Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment
Carry out first-off inspections
Maintain dimensional accuracy throughout production
Load and unload sheet material safely
Deburr and prepare finished components
Maintain machine cleanliness and routine maintenance
Report quality issues promptly
Work with production and welding teams to meet schedules
Assist with continuous improvement of manufacturing processes

Requirements

Essential

Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting machines
Previous experience setting and operating CNC press brakes
Ability to read engineering drawings
Good understanding of tolerances
Experience using calipers, steel rules and measuring equipment
Good attention to detail
Reliable and punctual
Positive attitude

Desirable

Experience with Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf, Bodor or similar machinery
Forklift licence
CAD/CAM nesting experience
Sheet metal fabrication experience
