Part-Time Pre-Assessment Nurse

One Hatfield Hospital, part of Phoenix Hospital Group, is looking for an experienced pre-assessment nurse to join their team on a part time basis.

Reporting to the Pre-Assessment Lead, the successful Part-Time Pre-Assessment Nurse will:

Deliver high-quality, patient-centred pre-assessment care to support safe and effective surgical pathways
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care in line with clinical policies and protocols
Undertake clinical procedures such as phlebotomy and medication training Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation
Provide health education and emotional support to patients and their families Work autonomously while collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate assessments, investigations and discharge planning
Support the implementation of service protocols in line with nationally accredited guidelines and evidence-based practice

Part-Time Pre-Assessment Nurse

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with NMC.

Experience

Clinical nursing experience in acute surgical care and preferably experience in pre assessment clinics.
Proven ability to work independently and within a team.

Skills

Demonstrable knowledge and skills and competency of required clinical practice.
Phlebotomy, cannulation, ECGs, and intravenous antibiotics would be an advantage.
Comprehensive written, numerical and verbal communication skills
Experience in computer skills using MS Office Suite and web based reporting systems.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
Excellent customer service skills.
A sound understanding of safeguarding principles and policies, with the ability to act appropriately to protect vulnerable individuals.

Desirables

Enthusiasm for cross functional working within clinical departments as reasonably required.
Experience in the private sector.
Experience in pre-assessment clinics.
