Our Client are a highly respected, multi region architectural practice of circa 70 staff with a specialism in sustainability and low-carbon construction, particularly in the residential sector.

Due to their continued success they are looking to hire an Associate Director in their London studio, to join the senior leadership team and who will have future opportunities to become a director.
The Opportunity
- There is a rare opportunity for an experienced Associate or Associate Director to join an established practice in the Senior management team
- Progression available to progress to Director in the future
- Opportunity to manage a team and be client facing on a number of interesting projects
- 2-3 days working from home per week is available

The Role
The Associate Director's role will be both internally facing and externally facing:
Externally facing duties include:
- Manging existing client relationships
- Overseeing multiple projects and client-facing (end-user clients, contractor-clients, developers etc.
- Being visible at events etc.
- Work winning/new BD is not required in this role, unless you want to be involved in it.
Internally facing duties include:
- Managing and coordinating resources
- Managing a project team
- directly line managing 4-5 people
As well as the above, they are also looking for someone who had new ideas and would like to have an influence on the way the studio runs and being a key part of the leadership team.
The Requirements
- Experienced Architect or Technologist or equivalent, with experience working as an Associate or Associate Director previously
- Experience working on UK-based projects with knowledge of UK building regulations
- Experience of working across work stages 3-5
- Good technical experience
- Experience working on multi-unit resi, mixed use schemes or retrofit projects
- Experience of overseeing more junior members of staff on a project / managing a small team
- Client-facing experience
- Friendly, approachable and an interest in sustainability
The Package
- £60,000 - £70,000
