Full job description

Water Hygiene Engineer – South and West London

· Basic £35,735.70pa

· 42.5hr working week

· Overtime paid at x2

· 25 days holiday + bank hols

· Bonus scheme

We are a well-established organisation delivering integrated engineering and property maintenance services across the UK. With over 50 years of industry experience, we have built a strong reputation for supporting public sector organisations, housing associations, and commercial clients.

Operating primarily across London and the South East, we specialise in maintaining and improving residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities:

Carry out planned water hygiene works across commercial properties
Complete temperature monitoring, water sampling, and system inspections
Undertake remedial works including TMV servicing, valve replacements, and minor plumbing modifications
Clean and disinfect water storage tanks and associated water systems
Ensure compliance with ACOP L8 and Legionella control requirements
Field-based role working across libraries, civic centres, office blocks, schools, and other local authority buildings throughout London

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

Previous experience within the water hygiene, Legionella, or plumbing industry
Good understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidance
Experience carrying out water hygiene remedial works and plumbing modifications
NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (desirable)
Full Driver’s Licence

Benefits Package:

Basic salary £35,735.70pa
42.5 hour working week
Monday to Friday 8am - 5.30pm
Overtime rates paid at x2
On call 1 in 6 days OR 1 in 4 weeks (discussed at interview)
On call rates paid at x2 + door to door pay
Bonus scheme based on company profit 2-8% of basic salary
Holiday days: 25 days + bank holidays
