As an Architectural Technician, you will be a vital part of our delivery team, working closely under the guidance of the senior management team. Your primary focus will be utilizing AutoCAD to produce high-quality, detailed working drawings that bring our bespoke residential schemes to life.
You will focus on high-precision technical drafting and coordination. This is a brilliant opportunity for a delivery-focused technician who loves the technical design process and wants to work on a diverse portfolio; ranging from large-scale regeneration developments to unique, one-off refurbishments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- AutoCAD Production: Produce clear, accurate, and detailed working drawing packages and technical specifications based on approved planning schemes.
- Drawing Maintenance & Amendments: Efficiently execute drawing amendments and update packages following prelims or addendums, ensuring site teams always have the most up-to-date information.
- Information Coordination: Integrate technical details and data sourced from external consultants (structural, MEP, etc.) into the main working drawing packages.
- Statutory Approvals Support: Collate and organise the necessary technical documentation required by the Senior/Manager to clear Building Control and Warranty (e.g., NHBC) conditions.
- Site & Subcontractor Support: Assist in resolving day-to-day site queries quickly and accurately, and cross-check subcontractor drawings to ensure they align with our master packages.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our in-house Land, Planning, Commercial, and Construction teams to ensure design accuracy, as well as cross-checking sales brochures for technical consistency.
As a successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- HNC (L5) in Construction (or equivalent)
- Proficient use of AutoCAD
- Up to date knowledge and effective application of UK building regulations
- Breadth of knowledge in construction methods/techniques and depth in traditional methods
- Effective understanding and application of relevant design standards. Ie. Building warranties, regulations and party wall etc.
