We are currently looking to recruit a Cleaning Supervisor (Flats Team) to join our dedicated Facilities Services Team, based at Riverside House, Rotherham S60 1AE.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday
9:00am to 3:00pm
52 weeks per year
About the Role
As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will play a key role within a responsive and supportive flats cleaning team, providing reactive cleaning cover across the Borough. This is a varied and active role where no two days are the same—you will visit a range of locations daily in line with service needs.
Part of your responsibilities will include driving a manual Council Fleet Vehicle; therefore, a full driving licence is required at the recruitment stage. You will also be required to undertake a driver assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain communal areas in blocks of flats, including entrance, stairwell and landings, corridors, and in stores and other shared spaces.
- Ensure all communal areas are clean, safe and welcoming to residents and visitors.
- Maintaining cleaning equipment and ensure cleaning materials are used safely and stored efficiently.
- Report any hazards or maintenance issues in the communal areas.
- Follow health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with COSHH.
- Demonstrate the ability to work flexibly and independently across multiple locations to support service needs.
- Work well as part of a team, while also being confident working independently.
- Have good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Be willing to travel between sites across the Borough.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent service.
