Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated LIVE-IN Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those with disabilities, ensuring they receive the necessary attention and support in their daily activities. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at promoting independence and comfort within the home or care facility.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions.
Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living space.
Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Implement behaviour management techniques as needed to support clients with specific challenges.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
Provide specialised care for clients with conditions such as dementia or those in hospice care settings.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care, senior care, or nursing home environments is preferred.
Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others.
Certification in caregiving or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
A compassionate nature with patience and understanding towards clients' needs.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
