Our intake numbers are increasing – we currently have 1,090 students. In March 2025 we were graded as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted and we are continuing to ensure that we provide the very best education for all our students.
We are looking to appoint a Creative Arts and/or Technology Technician to work within our highly successful Art and Technology Departments. The main purpose of this role will be to prepare, organise and maintain materials and equipment for classroom, as well as support teaching and learning in the full range of subjects across the departments.
We are seeking a professional, confident and resilient individual who will work in a calm, considered and proactive manner with a variety of stakeholders. Candidates will be required to set up classrooms and prepare equipment and materials for lessons, take responsibility for ordering, maintenance and support the teaching and learning of the department. The successful candidate will sometimes be expected to work with students on practical projects and perform machine demonstrations to students as requested by teaching staff. The role also has a range of health and safety responsibilities.
Candidates will need to have a good standard of education, GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C or above. Experience and understanding of a school setting would be advantageous but not essential.
