Business Development & Sales Coordinator
Location: Haverhill, Suffolk (Office Based)
Salary: £30,000 per annum + Performance Bonus

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Business Development & Sales Coordinator to support our commercial team and help drive new business opportunities.
The Role
This is a key position within the business and will play an important role in converting enquirers into projects.
You will be responsible for ensuring all incoming enquirers are followed up quickly, quotations are actively managed and potential new opportunities are identified through Glenigan and other business development activities.
Working closely with our estimators and management team, you will help ensure no opportunity is missed and every potential client receives a professional and responsive experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnquiry Management & Lead Qualification
- Respond to all incoming enquiries promptly.
- Contact potential customers to understand project requirements.
- Qualify opportunities and gather relevant information before passing to the estimating team.
- Arrange site surveys and appointments.
- Maintain accurate records within the CRM system.
- Ensure all enquiries progress efficiently through the sales process.
Quotation Follow-Up
- Contact clients after quotations have been submitted.
- Confirm receipt of quotations and answer basic project queries.
- Gather feedback regarding pricing, programme and competitors.
- Maintain regular communication with prospective clients.
- Support the estimating team in converting quotations into secured projects.
- Ensure all follow-up activity is recorded and tracked.
Business Development & Glenigan Research
- Identify new project opportunities using Glenigan.
- Research developers, contractors, warehouse operators, commercial businesses and key decision-makers.
- Generate qualified leads for the commercial team.
- Build and manage a pipeline of future opportunities.
- Support outbound business development campaigns.
- Help increase awareness of Mezz Floors UK within target sectors.
CRM & Commercial Administration
- Maintain accurate customer and project records.
- Produce weekly sales and pipeline reports.
- Track enquiry conversion and quotation follow-up performance.
- Support management with reporting and opportunity tracking.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Excellent communication and telephone skills.
- Confident speaking with business owners, contractors and commercial decision-makers.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
- Professional and proactive approach.
Desirable
- Experience within construction, fit-out, industrial or manufacturing sectors.
- Previous experience in sales support, business development or account management.
- Experience using Glenigan or similar lead generation platforms.
- Understanding of quotations, estimating or construction project processes.
