Welder Fabricator – Evening Shift
Mezz Floors UK Limited is looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our team at our factory in Haverhill, Suffolk.
We manufacture and install mezzanine floors, staircases, handrails, balustrades, pallet gates and associated structural steelwork for commercial and industrial projects across the UK.
This role is for a 2:00pm – 10:00pm shift, Monday to Friday.
The Role
You will be responsible for fabricating and welding steel components to a high standard, working from engineering drawings and helping ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time.
As this is an evening shift role, you will need to be confident working independently and taking responsibility for your own jobs.
Typical duties will include:
- MIG welding and fabricating mild steel components
- Fabricating staircases, handrails, balustrades, mezzanine components and general steelwork
- Reading and working from engineering and fabrication drawings
- Cutting and preparing steel using workshop equipment, including the bandsaw where required
- Drilling, grinding and dressing steelwork
- Checking your own work for quality and accuracy
- Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe
- Working efficiently to meet production deadlines
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Welder Fabricator
- Good MIG welding experience
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
- Experience working with mild steel
- Confidence using workshop machinery, including a bandsaw
- Ability to work on their own initiative
- A good eye for detail
- A reliable, hardworking attitude
- Pride in producing good-quality work
TIG welding experience would be useful, but is not essential.
Experience in mezzanine floors, staircases, handrails or structural steel would be an advantage.

Monday to Friday
2:00pm – 10:00pm
Pay
Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience.
