We are looking for Night Receptionists to join our wonderful Night Team. There are two part-time, permanent positions available based on an average of either 32 or 24 hours a week. With set shift times of 9pm to 5.30am. Availability to work nights and weekends is essential.
We offer a competitive salary of £13.23 per hour plus gratuities* and excellent employee benefits.
*Gratuities (tips) are an additional charge added onto services and are paid to all employees on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role. The amount is not guaranteed and is depended on service charge paid.
The Night Receptionist is responsible for providing a professional and welcoming front desk service during overnight hours. This role involves handling guest arrivals and departures, responding to guest enquiries, processing payments, completing administrative tasks, and ensuring the safety and security of guests and the property throughout the night.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner during check-in and check-out.
- Respond promptly to guest enquiries, requests, and concerns.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Resolve guest issues efficiently or escalate them to the Night Manager when required.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Manage the front desk during overnight shifts.
- Process reservations, room allocations, and guest registrations accurately.
- Handle telephone calls, emails, and guest correspondence.
- Process payments and maintain accurate guest account records.
- Ensure all guest information is handled confidentially and in accordance with data protection requirements.
- Assist with overnight audit and end-of-day procedures as required.
- Prepare reports and documentation for the incoming day shift.
- Update guest records and hotel systems accurately.
- Maintain logs of incidents, guest requests, and operational issues.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, alarms, and guest incidents.
- Follow all health, safety, fire, and security procedures.
- Report maintenance, safety, or security concerns promptly
Your Knowledge & Capabilities:
- You are an excellent communicator
- You are confident with problem solving and complaint handling
- You are detail-oriented; accurate data entry and strong computer skill
- You are enthusiastic and have a positive personality with the ability to build genuine and trusting relationships with guests and colleagues
Proven Experience/Qualifications:
- Experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a comparable position or industry, desirable
- Experience in a customer or guest facing role desirable
