Full job description

DM Historics / E-Type UK are looking for someone to lead, grow and develop sales and acquisition.

The role is focused on sourcing, securing and selling high-quality classic, performance and collector cars through DM Historics. This includes Sale or Return stock, outright acquisitions, consignments, private introductions and long-term vendor relationships.

Rewnumeration Key Responsibilities

£45,000 basic salary plus substantial performance-related bonus.

Key Responsibilities

Source and secure suitable cars for sale.
Generate Sale or Return, acquisition and consignment opportunities.
Build relationships with collectors, vendors, buyers, dealers, brokers and auction specialists.
Identify off-market cars, private collections and new stock opportunities.
Use existing business databases and relevant third-party websites to identify acquisition, sales and vendor opportunities.
Handle sales enquiries, conduct viewings and support buyers through the sales process.
Negotiate purchases, consignments, Sale or Return agreements and sales.
Provide market knowledge, valuation input and stock recommendations.
Keep third-party website listings accurate and up to date.
Ensure each car has suitable sales content, including a walk-around video and driving video with impressions.
Feed into the weekly marketing meeting with stock updates, enquiry feedback and cars requiring a marketing push.

Ideal Candidate

Proven experience in the classic, collector, performance or specialist vehicle market.
Existing network of vendors, collectors, buyers and industry contacts.
Strong understanding of desirable classic and performance cars, including Jaguar E-Types.
Commercially minded, with a good understanding of values, buyer demand and saleability.
Confident dealing with high-value clients.
Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
Highly self-motivated, organised and able to work independently.

Success Measures

Quality and value of stock sourced.
Sale or Return and consignment stock secured.
Gross profit generated from vehicle sales.
Growth of vendor, collector and buyer relationships.
Accuracy and quality of listings and sales content.
Improved enquiries and buyer engagement across stock.

In simple terms, we are looking for someone who can consistently bring interesting, desirable and saleable cars into the business that strengthen the DM Historics / E-Type UK brand and broaden our offering beyond our traditional Jaguar heritage.
