Bar & Waiting On Supervisor
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our team at The clubhouse in Penrith to help keep us moving the business forward. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional guest services. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a memorable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining food safety standards.
This has potential to be a live in position with the successful candidate supervising the bar for quieter evening shifts and being responsible for securing the premises at the end of the evening. Shift patterns will vary at requirement of the business and will include day shift, evenings and weekends. Though weekends off are shared amongst the team.
This position may also require work at some of the companys other sites during busier times.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all dietary requirements are noted.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining attention to detail.
- Assist in the preparation of food items as needed, adhering to culinary standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and kitchen.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for resolution.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of dishes.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to maintain service flow.
- Open/close shifts and lock up premises
- some kitchen assistance required basic jobs prepping veg washing up etc.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role is preferred but not essential.
- Barista experience would be beneficial
- Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing bills.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player who is willing to help colleagues as needed.
- A passion for culinary arts and an eagerness to learn more about food preparation techniques.
- A personal licence would be a benefit.
