Stepping Stones Nursery is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Apprentice Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young children and wants to gain a recognised Early Years qualification while developing valuable practical experience in a nursery setting.
As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced practitioners and receive dedicated support from both Stepping Stones Nursery and our partnered training provider to successfully complete your apprenticeship programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0–5 years.
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.
- Create positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
- Observe, monitor, and record children's progress under supervision.
- Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
- Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of your apprenticeship programme.

- Previous childcare experience is welcomed but not essential.
Training and Development
You will be enrolled with a recognised training provider who will deliver the apprenticeship qualification and provide ongoing support throughout your learning journey. This will include regular reviews, workplace assessments, and dedicated study time to help you achieve your qualification.
