If you have a passion and talent for Swimming, you could be part of our team of Swimming Teachers and help give people of all ages a valuable life skill. We are the largest Swimming School in the UK, and our continued growth means we are looking to qualify and employ a growing number of Swimming Teachers. So, if you’d like the opportunity gain the qualifications and training needed to teach people of all ages and abilities how to swim, apply to be a Trainee Swimming Teacher

Successful applicants will be fully funded to complete their STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming.

We have a range of hours available cross weekdays and weekends.

The next available STA Level 2 Course (NQT) will be run at New Barnet Leisure Centre, Barnet *2nd - 6th November 2026

We are looking for applicants who are:

A competent swimmer

A good communicator (verbal and non-verbal)

A good motivator (supportive and able to give feedback)

Approachable and patient in nature

Imaginative

Willing to learn and commit to a 5-day intensive training course

Previous experience working with Children is desirable but not essential

Applicants will need to be available for the full five-day course and have the capacity to complete 20+ hours of online pre-course learning

Being a Swimming Teacher is really rewarding, as you’ll thrive on supporting people to achieve their potential. Naturally, there’ll be some administration involved, but rest assured that, once qualified, almost all of your time will be spent teaching, working with a range of ages and abilities.

Once qualified, you will be a part of one of our Teaching Teams working with a Lead Teacher to support you in your day-to-day role.
