Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Joinery Designer to lead the conceptualisation and realisation of bespoke joinery projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in digital design, CAD software, and visual communication, contributing to innovative and high-quality craftsmanship. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial spaces, ensuring design excellence and client satisfaction.

Duties

Develop detailed joinery designs using CAD programmes such as Maya, SketchUp, and specialised joinery software.
Create comprehensive visualisations and presentations employing Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects to communicate concepts effectively.
Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and project managers to interpret briefs and translate ideas into functional designs.
Produce technical drawings, specifications, and 3D models that meet industry standards and client requirements.
Utilise web design skills to develop interactive portfolios or project showcases on digital platforms.
Conduct photography sessions to document design progress and final installations for promotional purposes.
Stay abreast of the latest trends in graphic design, digital media, and joinery techniques to ensure innovative outputs.
Oversee the production process to ensure designs are executed accurately on-site, maintaining quality control throughout.

Experience

Proven experience in digital design with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in SketchUp, CAD (including Maya), and Adobe Creative Suite applications.
Demonstrable skills in graphic design, including proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects.
2D and 3D design experience.
Prior involvement in joinery or furniture design projects is preferred, with a solid understanding of technical drawing standards.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. This role offers a dynamic environment where creativity meets craftsmanship—ideal for professionals passionate about innovative joinery design and visual storytelling within a collaborative team.

Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
