The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Hendra Holiday Park for a Head of Security to join our award winning team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will play a key part in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of security operations and proven experience leading teams in a customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
As Head of Security, you will be responsible for the safety and comfort of our guests and the effective management of the security team.
- Lead, recruit, manage, and motivate a team of up to 10 security staff
- Act as a visible and proactive presence across the park and leisure venues
- Carry out regular patrols to ensure safety and security standards are maintained
- Manage noise levels in line with site policies
- Handle incidents, altercations, and disruptive behavior calmly and professionally
- De-escalate situations quickly and effectively
- Report maintenance issues, noise complaints, and incidents appropriately
- Compile nightly handover reports to ensure clear communication
- Deliver staff inductions and ongoing training
- Monitor team performance, providing coaching, feedback, and support
- Ensure all security procedures and health & safety regulations are followed
About You
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
- Proven experience in a security management or supervisory role
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Calm, patient, and diplomatic approach to challenging situations
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and health & safety regulations
Working Hours
- Evening, weekend, and some night shifts on a rota basis
- Venue shifts: 5:00pm – 1:00am
- Park shifts: 5:00pm – 1:00am
- Night shifts: 9:00pm – 7:00am
