Full job description

A role as broad as your ambition

No two days are the same here. You might be preparing year-end accounts in the morning, then turning your attention to a three-year financial projection or a management accounts pack in the afternoon.

You'll work across a genuinely diverse client base, building trusted, long-term relationships that go beyond the numbers. Our clients rely on us to understand their businesses — and to help them see what's coming before it arrives.

Duties

Prepare personal, partnership and company tax computations alongside VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and full compliance.
Identify technical or client-specific issues early and recommend practical, well-considered solutions that genuinely move things forward.
Utilise accounting software such as Tax Calc, Free Agent, QuickBooks and other specialised systems for financial management.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Mentor junior accountants and support their professional development through guidance and training.
Ensure adherence to organisational policies, legal regulations, and best practices in financial accounting.

Experience

Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role within the financial services sector.
Extensive knowledge of accounting software including Tax Calc, Free Agent, QuickBooks and other relevant systems.
Strong understanding of financial management principles, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Demonstrated ability to mentor team members effectively whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation.
Prior experience in managing complex accounting tasks within fast-paced environments is preferred.
Relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA are advantageous but not essential. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding environment for professionals committed to excellence in financial management and organisational success.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
