Food Truck Supervisor – St Ives Harbour (2026 Season)
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Food Truck Supervisor to run one of our busy pizza trucks for the rest of the 2026 season. Situated right on the edge of St Ives harbour overlooking the sea, this role offers the best workplace view in town, but also the chance to lead a talented team in a fun and professional environment.
You'll be the right-hand person for our Manager with specific responsibilities, as well as deputising and leading service when they on days' off. We have a team of two to five staff each evening, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer experiences, so you’ll be a part of the leadership duo driving performance when needed, while also knowing when to let the team relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
The successful candidate is likely to have...
- Supervisor level experience and proven leadership capability in a hospitality business. It's likely you are already proven in this type of role (or perhaps you're just reaching that level) now ready to step up and join us.
- As well as those with front of house capability, experience working in a fast-paced kitchen is is helpful, so chefs who are seeking a customer facing role may be tempted by this position.
- Being confident at managing customer interactions is important too. We aim to create memorable experiences for our customers (and staff) and whilst things go smoothly almost all the time, if it gets tricky you need to be able to smooth things over and resolve any situation. Diplomacy, tact, charm, understanding, empathy all play a role.
- Don't be put off if you don't have this - we can teach you how to make great pizza. High standards, love of food, attention to detail, energy and pace are things you'll bring to the table.
To summarise, our pizza truck is a place where a busy kitchen and front-of-house are pretty much one - there's no where to hide! If you're front of house with some hands-on kitchen experience, you'll be great. Likewise, if you're a chef and are super customer friendly, you're also a strong candidate.
And just so you know, our teams are often made up of college and university students aged 16–22, many of whom return year after year. You’ll be leading a group of talented, enthusiastic pizza-makers who already know their craft.
We’re also strong believers in work-life balance. With Supervisor shifts starting at anything between 12 and 3:00 pm, your mornings are often free to enjoy the beach, surf, or simply relax. A pre-shift swim or surf session at one of St Ives’ beautiful beaches can easily become part of your daily routine.
Training and support:
- An induction at Stoned HQ (North Devon), including time at our flagship site under the instruction of our most experienced teams
- Weekly meetings with your Manager for sharing operational issues
- Monthly Management meetings at Stoned HQ (in-person) where you’ll share best practices, learn, and connect with other managers
- Ongoing training and development
Since 2020, Stoned has grown rapidly, now operating over six food trucks along the South West’s north coast, employing more than 50 seasonal staff. Our mission is simple: to employ great people, in inspiring coastal locations, serving wood-fired pizza and creating special memories for everyone.
