Job Purpose
Through the management of teams of housekeepers and operational partners, you are responsible for the care of our portfolio of luxury holiday properties and their guests. Ensuring smooth, efficient changeovers and that company policies, procedures, and cleanliness and service standards are met at all times.
To be a force for good, embedding Cornish Gems’ environmental, social and community responsibility goals across the department and actively supporting our B Corp mission.
Key Tasks
- Be inspiring and motivating for your team of housekeepers.
- Preparing linen and utility packs for weekly changeovers.
- Transporting, training and supervising housekeeping teams on changeover days.
- Housekeeping when required.
- Deliver clean linen and collect dirty linen from properties on changeover and report any damages or maintenance issues to Area managers in a timely manner.
- Be an ambassador for the company, promoting its core values out on the ground and in the office environment.
- Conduct line manager duties for housekeepers in line with Cornish Gems and department standards.
- Ensure staffing requirements are fulfilled at all times.
- Ensure that your cluster of properties is cost-effective, highlighting any concerns to your manager.
- Ensure all inventory items for your properties do not fall below the Cornish Gems minimum requirements with regular inventory checks.
- Ensure each property is presented to the expected standard inside and out for all guest and owner arrivals.
- Responsible for the health and safety of Housekeepers at all properties in line with Cornish Gems’ company policy.
- Ensure all maintenance jobs are reported and documented in a timely manner.
- Work alongside the Portfolio Team to ensure that all properties are meeting agreed standards, reporting to the Owner Liaison and Senior Area Manager any concerns.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Guest Experience, Maintenance and Portfolio departments as required with regard to guest and owner expectations and queries.
- Other duties commensurate with the role and as directed by management.
Key Knowledge
- Experience with Mac software and products.
- Understanding of luxury holiday and leisure Industry standards and expectations.
- Understanding of the Green Grading process and the Environmental Policy, and how these relate to the properties and products used within the
housekeeping department. (Training provided)
